SUMMARY:WordCamp Iloilo 2019
DESCRIPTION:Our first #WordCampIloilo last year was sold out and we had 300+ attendees from all over the world. \nSo this year\, we are going big and hosting a two-day #WordCamp. The attendees for WordCamp Iloilo are mostly from the technology sector and some are students who are aiming to enter the same sector. \nThe main conference is a 2-day event: the first day will be dedicated to 2 workshops for beginners and advanced attendees covering topics ranging from Web Design\, Web Development\, Security\, SEO and Blogging. The second day is a full day plenary session with talks that are idea-focused\, and on a wide range of subjects (various topics about WordPress\, freelancing\, general tech topics\, marketing\, business\, blogging)\, to foster learning\, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. The 2-day conference will be held at the Iloilo Convention Center\, Iloilo City\, August 24-25\, 2019 from 8AM – 5:00PM.

DESCRIPTION:WordCamps are locally-organized\, annual conferences covering everything related to WordPress. It brings together WordPress community members from all over the world at a commonplace\, providing a chance to gather in a new location to share insights and experiences\, do business\, make connections and talk about WordPress (that we all love doing). First started in 2006 by Matt Mullenweg\, the co-founder of WordPress\, in San Francisco\, and since then local communities have organized their own WordCamps. The frequency of WordCamps has been steadily increasing each year with 89 events in 2015 alone. WordCamps are happening in almost all major cities worldwide and featured in the WordCamp Central website.

DESCRIPTION:WordPress\, the world’s biggest Content Management System (CMS) platform used by 75 million websites and pages\, have strengthened WordPress communities all over the world through WordCamps\, which are locally-organized conferences dedicated to everything about WordPress. And for the first time since the camp’s initial event in 2006\, Iloilo will be hosting its own conference on August 25\, 2018 at the Iloilo Convention Center. \nWordCamps are grassroots-led\, low-cost weekend events organized by volunteer teams. They aim to  bring together WordPress users and enthusiasts of varying skill levels in a welcoming\, engaging and safe space for them to get to know each other and network. This is supported by a strict Code of Conduct that is enforced in any WordCamp event. \nA usual WordCamp may feature topics on content creation and marketing\, plugin and theme development\, or just the latest tips or advanced techniques on using and developing on WordPress. Generally\, however\, topics are determined based on the needs and interests of the local community. \nIloilo’s first WordCamp aims to attract between 200-300 attendees from all over the world. We started with a handful of people and are now steadily growing into an active community.
