SUMMARY:Build Intelligent Apps - Auto Check-in App using Rekognition (Ep. 2)
DESCRIPTION:We are on our way towards building an AI-backed auto check-in web application that will allow visitors to pre-register with a selfie and check in at a given location in just 1 step by screening their face. \nIn the previous session\, we pulled together Amazon Rekognition with other services to construct a working simple application. Picking up from there\, we will complete the minimum viable product (MVP) by adding database integration and authentication features.

SUMMARY:AI Pilipinas Meetup #17: AI and Coding for Kids - Whys and Hows
DESCRIPTION:In the last few years\, we saw that the pace of this progress is accelerating. We know that we have to start teaching computer programming and A.I. to children. Children are naturally curious and are willing to explore making things without thinking much about grades\, much less their “career”. As makers\, kids can learn technology and cultivate their curiosity using simple tools like the BBC micro:bit. \nThe job of the parent and the teacher is to prepare kids for the future. But what if we don’t know what the future will be like ? As someone in tech for 3 decades\, I don’t even know what will be mainstream technology in two years! Coding and A.I. will be necessary future skills that kids can learn now. Kids\, parents and teachers now can also learn about the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and create technology projects that relate to one or more of these goals. We have learned that the BBC micro:bit is a great tool for learning A.I. and coding on the way to making prototypes for learning and addressing the SDGs.

SUMMARY:Meetup #13 Lisa Crispin- A Whole Team Approach to Quality in Continuous Delivery
DESCRIPTION:We have another international Speaker and Author for MoT-PH\, Lisa Crispin. \nLisa the popular book author of Agile Testing and More Agile Testing will discuss about “A Whole Team approach to quality in Continuous Delivery” \nIt’s not uncommon for teams practicing\, or moving towards\, continuous delivery to face a growing backlog of customer-reported bugs and struggle to maintain their deployment cadence. If a team has testers\, the testers may be expected to continue with their same testing activities\, without any thought as to how those can be fit into CD. Teams without testing specialists often struggle with insufficient coverage from their automated regression tests\, and they may miss serious problems entirely because of inadequate exploratory testing. How can teams build confidence to release small changes so frequently? It’s not just about testing\, it’s about finding ways to build quality into the product. This session will introduce:• a pipeline visualization exercise teams can do to find ways to fit in all testing activities\, including manual ones\, and shorten feedback loops• using a test suite canvas to determine the minimum automated tests needed• ways to analyze risks and determine next steps to mitigate them• ways testing specialists help teams prevent defectsThis is a session for everyone on the software delivery team\, who may or may not have experience with continuous delivery and deployment.

SUMMARY:Meetup #12 - Coffee with James Bach - Software Exploratory Testing
DESCRIPTION:MoT-PH proudly presents for the first time in the Philippines\, we have JAMES BACH. \nIn the 90’s\, I made the term “exploratory testing” popular. Now I don’t use it. Why? Because all testing is exploratory\, to some degree. All testing also has scripted elements\, but it is useful to treat scripting as a foreign element. In this talk I will explain that.
